Ford dealer Kernahan's of Witney is closing after 50 years of motor retailing, blaming the high costs of operating from a town centre location.

Martin Kernahan told the Witney Gazette the showroom will close at the end of July, with a number of redundancies.

Its bodyshop will also close but it will keep a service workshop at another site in Witney.

Kernahan said efforts to find another suitable location for the Oxfordshire dealership have proved unsuccessful.
