Spyker, Saab's owner, is to rename itself Swedish Automobile NV once its funding issues have been resolved.

Spyker revealed earlier this year it would rebrand after it sold off its supercar business, Spyker Cars.

It is waiting for approval from the Chinese authorities of a £82m deal with China motor group Pang Da.
