Police are investigating the death of the wife of former Bolton franchised dealer Ian Workman.

Workman was initially arrested after calling emergency services to wife Susan, but has been released without charge from custody.

Susan Workman died after a single stab wound to the chest at her home in Turton, Bolton, on Saturday.

Workman owned IWG, a motor retail group with Hyundai, Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Subaru and Isuzu franchises in the Bolton area until the group entered administration in 2000, after which he continued with one site as an independent specialist.
