Mondial Assistance has announced the appointment of Mike Webb as non-executive chairman of Mondial Assistance UK.

Taking over Mike Webb’s role as UK chief executive from February 2012 is Serge Corel, currently managing director of the UK business.

By becoming non-executive chairman, Webb, who has been with Mondial Assistance for 21 years, will continue to be actively involved in the UK company’s sales activity, said the company.

Corel joined the group in 1997 as finance director and has been the company’s managing director since 2010.

Corel said: "More and more brands are looking to extend their core offerings in a bid to increase the lifetime value of their customer relationships and we have created a market leading proposition that meets this need."
