PricewaterhouseCoopers has named Richard Gane as the new head of its UK automotive group.

Gane, based at its Birmingham offices, will lead and co-ordinate PwC's services to the sector.

He is a chartered engineer by background who has worked for more than 35 years in automotive, transport and related industries, including with General Motors.

Gane said: "The next few years are likely to see significant changes in the structure of the industry as it responds to commercial pressures and technology changes. I look forward to helping automotive companies meet these challenges.”
