Bridford Financial Solutions, which specialises in dealer loans for expensive new cars, says it made a record first-half profit on advances totalling £14.5 million.

The company, which this year expects to beat 2009’s record advances of more than £25m, says clients include 15 of the England World Cup football squad, multi-millionaires and Lottery winners.
