More companies are signing up for the Dealers Backing BEN campaign.

Scottish dealer Glen Henderson, Exeter’s Wellington Group and Aldershot-based Peugeot group Charters are the latest dealers, demonstrating the geographical support to this growing initiative.

The growing range of dealers is also bringing in additional support for BEN as Nigel Williams, BEN’s head of national development said: “This initiative isn’t just about the dealers because through this scheme we are also gaining additional support from the auction houses.

"A good example is Aston Barclay Group who are collecting payments for an increasing number of participants including Marshall Motor Group, Leaseplan and ING.”

David Scarborough, director at Aston Barclay Group, said: “We have always been aware of BEN but our involvement in this scheme has helped us to have a much better understanding of what BEN is doing to support our colleagues in the motor industry and we are proud to be able to help support them, I’ve also decided that we will provide some more direct support for BEN as well in terms of running our own fund raising initiative.”

The BEN campaign was launched in the middle of June and allows participating dealers to contribute £1 to the motor industry charity from the sale proceeds of each car sold through auction.
