Nissan has made a return to profit of £320 million for the last three months of 2009.
The profit compares to a loss of 83 billion yen in 2008 and Nissan had expected to make a full year loss, but now expects to make a full-year profit of 35 billion yen.
The Japanese manufacturer put the turnaround down to scrappage schemes in its major markets and strong growth in China.
