The Auto Body Professionals Club (ABP) is hitting the road in the UK with a series of free business-to-business forums.

The forums will cover practical bodyshop operational issues such as marketing and attracting work, legal requirements/ obligations, health and safety, PAS125/ATA training and an in-depth Q&A session.

The sessions started on March 10 in Bristol and continue throughout the month at venues in Bracknell, Walsall, Cumbernauld, Newcastle, Manchester and Rainham.

The ABP is expecting 50 delegates at each of the seven forums which start at 9.30am and finish with a buffet lunch at 1pm.

David Cresswell, ABP Club chairman, said: “We fully recognise that 2009 will be a difficult market for all involved in the body repair market – both bodyshops and suppliers.

“Bodyshops need access to good information from quality suppliers that can help their business.”

Cresswell reiterated that there were limited opportunities for bodyshops to get together this year as Bodyshop magazine is not running its annual RISC conference in 2009 and the CV Show has been cancelled.
