Warrington-based Clare James Automotive has acquired two Volkswagen dealerships in Stafford and Stoke-on-Trent for an undisclosed sum.

The sites on Common Road in Stafford and Stanley Matthews Way in Stoke-on-Trent were acquired from Rees Caddick Garages and brings the Clare James VW portfolio to five and its group total of sites to 10. Clare James also has franchises with Mini, Nissan and already had a VW van site in Liverpool.

All existing staff have reportedly transferred to Clare James which is reviewing operations at both sites.
