Ford is offering marking and registration packs for catalytic converters within customers’ cars to help tackle theft.

UK thieves are targeting the emissions-reducing technology in order to sell it on for its platinum content, which can fetch up to £100.

The marking is provided by Retainagroup and is available from Ford dealerships from £11.87.
