A strategic partnership between motor auction BCA and marketeer 2nd Byte is aimed at speeding up the de-fleet cycle and allowing carmakers an opportunity to market wholesale stock to a wider audience of dealers and consumers.

It will provides "end-to-end transparency" across the life of the vehicle, improving control at every stage of the de-fleet process and ensuring vehicles spend fewer days in stock because of increased visibility earlier in the cycle and actively driving buyer participation.

"It's about getting cars presented at the earliest opportunity and with comprehensive build specification all wrapped up in an attractive package" said Alex Lowe, sales and marketing director at 2nd Byte.

"This means we can achieve the highest possible return with maximum visibility whilst keeping fulfilment costs to a minimum."

Pre-determining refurbishment, storage and vehicle movement requirements mean lower costs for carmakers. Time-to-sale is also reduced by routing the right vehicles into the right sales channels at the right time, said BCA.
