Work has started on a £1.5 million dealership for Heartlands Ford in Birmingham.

The site on Aldridge Road is being developed by Hinton Properties and Colliers CRE and is the next phase of Tameside Park, a 14-acre mixed use development which already features a Wickes Extra and Goals soccer centre. Work is expected to be completed this autumn.

Heartlands Ford Perry Barr, which is part of the Ford Retail Group, is effectively ‘going home’ after a three-year temporary stay in a former dairy across the road.

It moved to its current site in Kingsbury Road in January 2005 to make way for the new Tameside Park development.

The 20-strong Heartlands Ford team, headed by general manager Nigel Volrath, will all move over to the new dealership.

The new showroom will feature Ford’s ‘Look and Style’ corporate identity and will have room for four new cars in the showroom, a servicing workshop with five bays and a forecourt for used cars.

Heartlands Ford has three dealerships in Birmingham, with the others at Kingsbury Road, Erdington, and Saxon Drive, Tamworth.
