I needed something with better hours and better pay!

Find, retain and motivate staff who find, retain and motivate customers.
How will your job change over the next few years?
I hope I will need to spend more time worrying about corporation tax.

I am a qualified chef but Kate won’t let me cook.
What advice would you give to young people planning to join the industry?
If you don’t love it, leave it. After more than 30 years, I don’t like the industry – I love it.
What is the worst career move you’ve ever made?
Taking on Citroën.

Starting Phoenix Honda 15 years ago.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years’ time?
Enjoying the company of automotive people but maybe having more time with my wife.

First time in Japan (with Suzuki).

The Quiet Man, directed by John Ford and starring John Wayne. Best movie ever made.

The Eagles’ ‘Desperado’ and ‘On The Border’. Best ever but drives my four children nuts!
