The Thatcham BSI Kitemark has won best safety initiative of the year at the Fleet News Awards.
Entries had to show a proactive attempt to improve safety, produce results and make a difference.
63 repairers currently have kitemark accreditation and more than 250 have applied.
Jason Moseley, Thatcham chief operating officer said: "This acknowledgement of the importance of the kitemark by Fleet News shows how important a safe, quality repair is to fleet managers.
"The UK crash repairer is one of the most committed in the world and have driven this standard."
