Franchised dealer Jackson Cars in South Wales has gone into administration.
Richard Hawes and Robin Allen of Deloitte have been appointed as joint administrators to the business, which has Hyundai and Citroen franchises.
Jackson Cars employs 32 staff at Bridgend. The business is continuing to trade as normal while the administrators seek a buyer.
There have been no redundancies.
Hawes said: “Jacksons Cars suffered severe financial difficulties as a result of the decline in the motor sales industry in the UK in recent months and the tightening of credit.
"We are seeking interested parties to acquire the business as a going concern.”
