Low running costs are the main concern for car buyers, according to Autotrader.
A survey by the company found people buying a vehicle no longer consider the brand, image, make or performance to be the most important.
After questioning 1,000 drivers 71% said the price was their main concern followed by MPG, cost of ownership, fuel type and how much it costs to tax.
Interestingly, the least important factors were in-car entertainment, colour, safety, capacity/storage and brand image.
