Seat has replaced its optional factory fit satellite navigation system with an improved system for the same price.

The DVD-based technology, which also includes a 30GB hard drive, costs £1,595, the same price as the previous CD-based system.

The new touch-screen Siemens device, with mapping data from Navteq, is available to order now as an option on all Leon, Altea, Altea XL, Altea Freetrack 4 and Toledo models.

Featuring a 6.5-inch full colour screen the system also doubles as a smart CD/DVD player capable of playing MP3 files and DVD video files.

The unit also includes a Bluetooth communications pack which drivers can use to pair their mobile with the car through controls on the steering wheel for legal hands-free telephony.
