HR Owen has confirmed that it has received an indicative offer for the company from an external party.

The dealer group made it clear in a statement to the stock market that ‘it may or may not lead to a formal offer for the company’.

HR Owen has 11 sites and represents Alfa Romeo, Bentley, Bugatti, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Rolls-Royce. It also has BMW and Volvo sites, but announced this week it was looking to dispose of them.

Industry observers believe Sytner Group would be a good fit as the anonymous bidder. It already represents several of HR Owen’s brands and fits with the group's recently revealed strategy of just focussing on its premium brands.
