Citroen will reveal its C5 Airscape concept car at the Frankfurt Motor Show next month.
The new concept features an automatically folding carbon-fibre roof, four-wheel drive and an ‘UrbanHybrid’ system, which Citroen claims will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 24g/km on the combined cycle. The car also uses the manufacturers stop and start technology. Power used by the air conditioning or audio system is recovered by regenerative braking.
The C5 Airscape is fitted with a bio-diesel 208bhp 2.7HDi V6 engine, complete with particulate filter.
