The personalised number plate, CEO 1, has sold for £154,100 on eBayMotors.co.uk today, the highest price ever paid for a number plate on the site.

The plate started a bidding war on eBayMotors.co.uk soon after seller Derek Clements posted the plate on July 2 and received almost 100 bids.

Sales of personalised number plates are growing 23% year-on-year on eBayMotors.co.uk.
