Skoda's new Fabia will cost from £7,990 to £13,015 when it goes on sale in the UK next month.

The five-door supermini will be available with a choice of five petrol and three turbodiesel engines.

The new Fabia has dropped the Classic, Ambiente, Elegance and Sport trim names, with models now called Fabia 1, 2 or 3. An estate version is due to arrive in the UK in January 2008.
