EurotaxGlass’s International has appointed Deven Thakrar as its new managing director, UK and Ireland.

Thakrar joins the company from Lex, where he was MD for the automotive supply chain operation.

He will be based at the EurotaxGlass’s offices in Weybridge, Surrey, and will report direct to recently appointed chief operating officer, Alastair MacLeod.

Thakrar’s arrival is the latest in a number of senior management appointments to be made by the pan-European EurotaxGlass’s business since it was the subject of a management buyout last May, backed by Candover and led by the Group’s CEO, Kevin Gaskell.

Thakrar held senior positions with Hays and Ryder before moving to Lex, the business-to-business wing of the RAC, which was recently acquired by Norwich Union/Aviva.
