Monday is the best day for selling a car according to new data from e-GoodManners, the sales led management company.

Using data from several franchised brands over the last few months, the company looked at over 115,000 initial enquiries to UK dealerships and in excess of half a million follow up calls, highlighting some interesting indications of market trends.

Mondays were the best days for sales with nearly 20% of all sales, followed by Saturday at 17.5%. The worst days were Sunday at 10% and Thursday at 12.5%.

Alan Hazlehurst, managing director of e-GoodManners, said: “Traditionally Mondays were seen as quiet but the data certainly indicates something different.

“From looking at the data it seems that people would rather purchase their new car early in the week in order to be able to spend the weekend driving around in the new vehicle.”
