The head of Honda UK’s car marketing, Jeff Dodds, has quit after one year in the role.

A Honda spokesman says it is likely that Dodds’ replacement will be appointed from within Honda.

Dodds’ achievements include the TV campaign featuring Honda’s Asimo robot and signing a sponsorship deal with ITV for Honda products to open and close the advertising breaks in its 2007 Formula 1 motor racing series.

Reports suggest Dodds is leaving to become European marketing director for golfing equipment manufacturer Callaway Golf.
