In a recent case a solicitor became jealous when his person assistant, with whom he had a very close relationship, was found to be also having a “regular association” with another man at the university she was attending.

Things came to a head when the solicitor saw the two out walking and he dismissed her the same day. On appeal it was held that the dismissal was not on the grounds of the woman’s sex but on the grounds of jealousy.
