The saloon will retail at £51,317, while the estate costs £52,567, an increase of 4% and 4.5% respectively over the previous generation C55 AMG.
Both models come with the new 6208cc 457bhp V8 engine, a 90bhp increase over the C55 AMG, which equates to better on-road performance. The saloon will hit 62mph in 4.5 seconds, and the estate 4.6, compared to 5.2 and 5.4 seconds for its predecessor, and continue to an electronically limited 155mph top speed.
Buyers can also choose from a range of options for the vehicles. The driver’s package, priced at £2160, includes a higher top end speed and attendance at the AMG Power and Passion driving event.
The performance package comprises compound front disc brakes, a limited slip differential, performance suspension and a leather and alcantara trimmed steering wheel, it costs £3120.
