Autoquake, the UK remarketing service, has appointed Garry Hobson to the role of chief executive officer.

In his new role, Hobson will assume overall direction of the company in order to boost the supply chain of ex-fleet vehicles for re-marketing on Autoquake's website and drive revenue growth.

He will lead the existing 30-strong Autoquake team of automotive and e-commerce specialists.

Hobson has spent nearly 25 years working in the automotive industry in senior management positions including MasterLease, Carland, Pendragon, Inchcape, Ford and Lex Vehicle Leasing. He joins Autoquake from Dixons Motor Group where, as consultant operations director, he was responsible for day to day management of the multi- franchise, multi-site group based in South Yorkshire.
