Honda will be extending its range of hybrid models to two within two years according to the manufacturer’s president.

Shigeru Takagi, president of Honda Motor Europe, spoke at the Tokyo Motor Show this week and confirmed there would be a second hybrid model that would be smaller and cheaper than its Civic IMA hybrid which is on sale now.

Tagaki said the car would be "affordable" but company insiders believe it will have a price tag near £14,000.
