Howard Basford’s Ellesmere Port bodyshop has become the its fourth to be recommended for accreditation for the new British Standards Institute PAS125 quality mark.

The BSI Kite Mark accreditation has already been achieved by the company’s sites at Birkenhead, Crewe and Mold, North Wales.

Tracy Howard, Howard Basford group chairman, said: “I am immensely proud that our staff have responded so well to the PAS 125 challenge and clearly our progress in winning accreditation is a recognition that our people are amongst some of the very best in the industry.

“For too many years the industry has been damaged by the poor standards of some and now at last the industry can set itself clear hurdles over which many less able players will find it hard to jump.”
