The equipment can be used to make repairs to trim, leather, velour and plastics. It also provides everything needed for high-quality work including preparation materials, applicators, heating and cooling equipment, and paints that will match original DaimlerChrysler colours.
These repair systems will allow DaimlerChrysler dealers to take advantage of additional revenue opportunities.
Martin Bills, general manager at Bradleys, says: “It is essential that we help our customers deliver the very best repairs. To facilitate this we will be running a series of training courses designed to teach best practice to DaimlerChrysler’s trainers.
“The courses will be based on our IMI accredited programmes and will allow DaimlerChrysler’s trainers to filter best practice down to the dealerships who take on our products.”
Currently 40% of DaimlerChrysler’s franchised network does its own Smart repairs, while 60% contract this service out.
