Hemming Automotive has acquired a Renault franchise in Chichester for an undisclosed sum.

The Terminus Road site has a six-bay workshop for servicing, repairs and MOT testing of cars, Renault Minute - an all-makes, no-appointment fast-fit servicing centre, plus a parts department which supplies Renault parts to independent garages and workshops in the area.

It also has a purpose-built and wheelchair-accessible showroom for cars and vans from the Renault range.

New owner, Richard Hemming, said: "I know already that I must ‘beef up’ the processes at the showroom to focus on what a customer experiences when they visit. This is true for people buying a new car, or a used car, and also for customers getting their cars serviced.

"There are 100 little things that good dealerships remember to do all the time, for each and every customer. We’ll focus on doing those things here, and I’m looking forward to showing Chichester motorists good customer service, especially when we’re working with such fantastic cars from Renault."

Hemming has bought the dealership outright, together with all its assets. All members of staff have been retained, with further jobs likely to be created as the business grows.
