How did you get in to the automotive business?
I was interested in the industry and got a job as a graduate auditor for Ford UK.

What does your job entail?
Sales and marketing for the UK’s dealer network. I’m also responsible for the distribution of the product range of our cars.

How will your job change over the next few years?
In marketing, the technological changes have been massive, with the rise of digital TV and the internet. Plus the challenge of meeting the expectations that we set for ourselves.

What advice would you give to young people planning to join the industry?
Get experience of both retail and wholesale; this gives you an appreciation of the industry as a whole. It’s also advisable to get experience of different brands to give you a broader perspective.

What’s the worst career move you’ve ever made?
Staying at one company for too long. In my case, 12 years.

Experiencing working for so many different brands.

Sitting on a beach in Australia.
