Three dealers are in talks to sell engine designer Al Melling’s new £100,000 V10 British supercar.

Melling Consultancy is to take on 25 extra staff at its Rochdale factory to cope with full-time production of the 200mph Hellcat, which begins in November.

Four cars will be made at the works in Mellor Street per month. Works manager Alan Taylor tells AM-online: “We are looking for a dealer who can race-prepare the cars for our GT1 race series as well as sell the road going version, so the criteria is pretty high.”
