Based on the previous 1.0 litre EL model, the range includes three or five-door variants in manual or automatic starting at £6,460 on-the-road. The SL trim has been dropped from the range.
Standard equipment now includes air-conditioning and ABS with EBD. The interior trim is new and the front seats have been lengthened by 30mm.
The model has a revised front grille, bumper and suspension. To improve the Charade’s braking performance, the front discs are now ventilated.
Daihatsu say its Charade model can return 68.9 mpg on its manual which also has a top speed of almost 100 mph.
All Charades come with driver and passenger airbags, electric front windows and door mirrors, central locking and a radio/CD player.
