Saab GB’s Motability sales have risen by 87% in the last six months to 103 cars sold.

The company said the the sales rise was due to the popularity of its Saab 9-3 Convertible and the 9-3 SportWagon.

"This is an outstanding performance for Saab in the Motability market, led by increased demand for the new 9-3 SportWagon and the Convertible, and shows the widespread appeal the range now has," said Hayley Ingram, Motability sales and marketing manager for Vauxhall, Saab and Chevrolet.

Saab’s sales performance globally saw worldwide sales increase to 34,192 cars during the first three months of the year, a 24% increase against the same period last year. In Europe, a 29% increase produced sales of 23,895 cars, whilst in the UK, sales grew by 18% to 7,766 cars.
