Honda will unveil its new Accord Coupe concept at the Detroit Motor Show next month.

The Japanese manufacturer said the concept was an example of the design direction future models will be taking.

The reveal of the concept car will not impact the marketing of Accord in the UK, and the current model will continue to be sold throughout 2007.

The NAIAS show in Detroit, which runs from January 7-21, is the first major automotive event of next year.
