Chevrolet will reveal its first ever diesel for the UK at the Bologna Motor Show next week.

The new Lacetti TCDi comes with a new Bosch developed 119bhp 2.0-litre common-rail turbodiesel engine. It powers the car from 0-62mph in 9.8 seconds and on to a top speed of 117mph.

Drivers will receive 58.8mpg in the Lacetti five-door hatchback and 52.3mpg in the Lacetti Station Wagon.

Prices and trim levels will be announced nearer to the new models’ on sale date in 2007.
