The BEN National Five-A-Side Football Championship has been won by City Gateway - while raising an impressive £16,000 for the automotive industry charity.

Comprising of six regional heats across England and a national final held at Birmingham the event was a huge success with nearly 100 companies entering from all sectors of the motor industry.

The companies included Honda UK, Toyota GB, Nissan GB, Subaru UK, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, the AA, Barclays Bank, Lloyds TSB, Capital Bank, Federal Mogul Aftermarket UK, Unipart Automotive, Leaseplan UK, Ontime Automotive, Mondial UK, the Society of the Motor Manufacturers and Traders, the Institute of the Motor Industry, the Retail Motor Industry Federation, British Car Auctions, What Car/Auto Car and dealership groups such as Sytners, Pendragon, Guy Salmon, City Motors and Lookers.

Spurs and West Ham legend and England 1966 World Cup winner Martin Peters presented the winning trophy to City Gateway. Runners up were Mitchells Group, with Federal Mogul Aftermarket UK and Leaseplan UK reaching the semi-finals.
