Nissan Europe has reported total sales of 49,231 vehicles in April 2005, an increase of 4.3% over the same month last year.

From January to April, Nissan Europe sold 181,960 units, 1.9% down from last year.

In the UK, Nissan sold 8,089 units, an increase of 10.3% compared to last year. In the four-month period from January to April, Nissan's sales in the UK fell to 36,033 units, down 3.3% compared to last year.

The Micra sold 15,979 units in April representing an increase of 7.5% against the same month last year. From January to April, total Micra sales reached 55,368 units, down 7.2% compared to last year.

X-Trail sales decreased by 3.7% in April compared to 5,270 units last year. In the four month period from January to April 2005, total X-Trail sales reached 21,050 units, down by 0.3% compared to last year.
