Scottish dealer group Macrae & Dick has announced that there will be ‘no redundancies’ in the reaction to the MG Rover collapse.

"We are continuing to trade out of the MG Rover stocks that we hold but we are still carrying-on with parts and servicing for MG Rover and there will be no redundancies," says Andy Grzesinski, Macrae & Dick managing director.

The group also announced pre-tax profits reached £2.254m in the year to December 2004.

Turnover increased by £1.546m to £127.212m.

Grzesinski said car sales in January and February had been slower than last year.

Macrae & Dick sells the Ford, Jaguar, BMW, Honda, MG Rover and Mazda brands.
