Vauxhall has announced prices for the new Zafira.

The order books open this week with prices starting from £12,995.

Five trim variants will be available at launch – Expression, Life, Club, Design and SRi.

The Zafira Life 1.6 16v now includes side airbags and roof rails over the existing model, at £14,995.

The Club trim 1.6-litre 16v gains alloy wheels, plus side and curtain airbags at £15,695.

Vauxhall is also offering customers the ‘launch pack’ for £500 when a deposit is put down on the choice of 1.6, 2.2-liire petrol engines or a 118bhp diesel before July 31.

The pack includes 16-inch alloy wheels, a trip computer, cruise control and Electronic Climate Control.

A range of engines will appear in new Zafiras, with petrol units including a 103bhp 1.6-litre 16v TWINPORT and the range-topping 118bhp 2.0-litre Turbo now available.

Later in the year, a 238bhp, 144mph VXR variant will join the range, while a new 138bhp 1.8-litre engine will debut in the autumn.

The 1.9-litre CDTi powerplants in either 118bhp or 148bhp form, start from £16,995.

The first new Zafiras will be delivered to customers in the summer, with a special launch programme at Vauxhall dealers taking place on the weekend of July 23-24.
