Owners of Vauxhall cars and vans are to be offered the Origin b2 driver safety and information system, which has been added to the range of accessories available through Vauxhall retailers, priced at £429.95.

The GPS satellite technology-based, dashboard-mounted Origin b2 device warns drivers of speed cameras and also alerts them to accident black spots, school and even congestion charging cameras.

It is, says Vauxhall, the only legal system on the market that can detect all types of speed camera, from Gatso and Truvelo to DS2 Speedmaster and mobile police laser traps.

The number of fixed speed cameras is set to triple to over 13,000 by the end of this year.
