DVLA checks by text

Two in three used car buyers do not carry out background checks on the vehicle they are purchasing, according to a YouGov survey.

The research was commissioned by Textcheck, a new vehicle history check launched by the Vehicle Inspection Company, which uses text messaging to give buyers access to DVLA data.

Each check costs £4.50.
