Braintree, Essex Kia dealer Westdrive has come second in a global proficiency test set by the Korean car manufacturer.

The business, which was only beaten by a dealership in Singapore, will now serve as an example to the 4,000-strong worldwide network.

Since moving to a £1.7m new showroom last January, Westdrive’s sales have almost doubled and turnover has grown from £4m to £11m.

Dealers were assessed on customer satisfaction, sales, facilities, systems and management.Owner Jason Westwood says he is proud of the achievement.
