Car Parts Direct reports a more than doubling of radar detector sales so far this year. A survey conducted by the company found that motorists with three points on their licence were three times more likely to buy a detector than a motorist with no points. Over 70% of motorists with six points said they had bought a radar detector or would seriously consider buying one.
Mark Cornwall of Car Parts Direct says Quintezz XT 7000 detectors were now available for to retailers to resell, with margins of up to 45%, and that his company was now actively targeting the fleet market.
