Five cars with five stars is a claim only Renault can so far make, following the announcement of the New Scénic's results in the latest round of EuroNCAP's independent crash tests. Tested in July this year, the second generation of Renault's compact-MPV, which goes on sale in the UK on 19 September, scored 34.12 points out of 37 making it the safest compact MPV in the class.

New Scénic joins Laguna (March 2001), New Mégane and Vel Satis (November 2002), and New Espace (June 2003) as the fifth Renault car to score five EuroNCAP stars, and become the safest car in its class.
