On Thursday last week, MG Rover's German sales company completed negotiations with its German dealer council over their new BER-compliant contracts, the council chairman told Autohaus Online on 28 August. He was recommending signature to the franchise's serve and parts contracts, though new car margins have yet to be agreed.

The dealer council has asked MG Rover in the UK to confirm a new offer on new-car margins within two weeks, or to confirm the maintenance of the margins operating at present. No great problems are expected by the dealer council in this area.
