Even before its official UK launch on 19 September, Citroën has revealed prices for its three-door supermini, the C2. Launch offers, including free insurance on performance models, will make the C2 available from under £7,000, in support of Citroën's positioning as'value champion' of the UK car market.

The C2 has also achieved Group 1, insurance rating for all 1.1i models, and says almost 70mpg will be possible in everyday driving for the 1.4HDi, “the best economy of any mainstream car”.

C2 prices start at £6,995 for the 1.1i L, including a £500 cashback launch offer, which also applies to the 1.4HDi L, and rise to £10,995 for the 1.6i 16V 110bhp VTR.
