Motorpoint predicts that diesels will account for 25% of the expected 3,000 car sales in September from its sites in sites in Derby, Burnley and Glasgow. This represents an increase of 9% compared to its diesel sales in September 2002.
Motorpoint has over 4,000 new cars and commercials in stock at its Derby, Burnley and Glasgow outlets, which the firm says are all sourced from Continental sources, and priced at between 30 and 50% lower than UK manufacturers' list prices, notwithstanding recent reports of a sharp decline in 'parallel' European units.
